December 14 - The ducks have left for the winter. john and joyce have not seen them for the last several weeks. It is very quiet at zenpond this time of year. john has gone inside and is working on remodeling the computer room. He has knocked out two windows and replaced them with newer Pella high thermal windows. The one overlooks the side of the big waterfall and john plans on making another waterfall flow down the side, so there is an even better view of water from the new window.

Chad and Suzanne Shaffer sent john new pictures of their 50,000 gallon pond which john would like to share with you. Chad and Suzanne have done an excellent job on their pond and waterfall. If you go back to the June 2001 page, you will see their waterfall, also so excellently done. They have about 800 large Koi in this pond! These pictures are beautiful! Great job Chad and Suzanne!
