February 1 - john has started a painting of the photo below. He is calling it: "Watching for Spring". He has just finished "High Mountain Trail", and he will post it here shortly.
February 20 - "Watching for Spring" is closer to being finished. Somehow, the cat's nose is again too "pointy", which looks more like a racoon's nose. john plans to correct that ... again. john is continuously amazed that the computer is his best critic. It brings out the worst in the painting. That is not a bad thing. Here it is, so far:
