November 1 - john and joyce survived the little gobblins last night. One little girl was collecting donations for UNICEF and didn't even have a candy bag with her. Luckily, john realized that she might like some candy too and offered her some. Her eyes lit up as no one else apparently had given her candy. Today is the Tuckmeister's 2nd anniversary at zenpond and a true "zenpond celebration" will take place before the day is done. The Tuckster likes vanilla ice cream. john did not remove the netting from the small waterfall due to small creatures getting caught. He did tie up both sides. This worked and only a few leaves are getting into the pond. john is thinking of doing a "Tribute to Trees" on this page. Check back soon.

November 2 - john says there is a good article about koi in the Kansas City Star, October 31, page E-3, entitled "THE WET PET". One thing john picked up in the article was that The Associated Koi Clubs of America publishes a booklet of filter designs.
