This painting is a result of a contest by the Omaha Zoo to name their new baby Siberian tiger, born on June 22, 2010. When john was asked what name he would give the baby tiger, within a split second, it came to john that the baby tiger should be named "Pawla". Since entries for the name were only being taken at the zoo, john drove 200 miles to the Omaha Zoo to enter the name into the contest.

P.S.: The baby was not named "Pawla", but was rather named "Isabella" by the zoo. Oh well!
